Week 5 is about being Self-ish. By recognizing and honouring the importance of addressing what you want/need first, you will always have the emotional resources available to give of yourself to others. It all starts with developing an understanding of just how much control you have, and giving yourself patience and grace when it is lacking.

This week we will be discussing:

  • The key to a healthy relationship with yourself is being Self-ish and the power/importance of saying no sometimes

  • The Point of Power and the Victor versus Victim Mindset.

    • Victor = OAR (Ownership > Accountability > Responsibility)

      • I can encourage you to take responsibility and be your accountability partner but only you can take ownership of your life and your experience of it.

    • Victim = BED (Blame > Excuses > Denial)

  • When in struggle, the importance of focussing on what is in your realm of control and what isn’t.

  • That there is only ever one thing that happens in the present moment and that we truly have control over and that is our breath (According to Deepak Chopra), as everything else is either soon to be, or has already occurred.

  • The power of persistence in the creation of a joy-filled life through making small consistent decisions over and over versus a million different things once.

Begin week 5 by watching the video. When prompted to do so, pause and connect with the power of present moment focus by breathing through the ‘Root System Grounding’ audio. Then complete the relevant parts of your workbook and finish the video.

IN THIS LESSON

AUDIO - Root System Grounding

Through breath and the intention to connect deeply to the energetic flow through you to the ground below and the sky above, this audio provides you another alternatively to becoming grounded, centred, and spacious. By practicing dropping into this state increasingly more quickly, and with fewer and fewer breaths, present moment focus and clarity can be achieved in mere moments.
