Scars are a natural occurrence in life. Regardless of severity, adhesions and scar tissue are constantly developing with deleterious effects on your mobility. Even if you’ve never had a surgery, we all have a belly button!

Scars behave like weeds in your garden. They grab onto healthy surrounding tissue to stabilize the wound until it can heal closed. However the scar tissue is never as pliable as the surrounding healthy skin, and the pull three dimensionally on the healthy tissue can create dense, thickened regions of adhesions that can behave almost like conical spiderwebs. The direction of the forces applied also vary tremendously person to person with the same surgical procedure affecting one person’s low back, and another’s shoulder motion because of restrictions into the ribcage.

This video teaches the basics of how to address the scars in your body. By engaging the barrier of tension and then working through all of directions that could be pulling into that scar, you create a deep capacity to three dimensionally restore movement and function.
